Dates

The 2023 letting season is from 21 April (arrival) to 27 October (end of stay), with a few interruptions for maintenance and family use. Friday is the main changeover day, so full-week bookings run from Friday to Friday. Shorter breaks are possible (minimum three nights, Friday to Monday or Tuesday and vice versa) except between 14 July and 1 September.

Prices

In 2023, a week at Suaeda Cottage will cost  £700 during the peak holiday letting period (between 14 July and 1 September) or £600 at other times of year.

Shorter stays will cost 65% of the weekly rate for a three-night stay and 80% of the weekly rate for a four-night stay.

In addition, I’ll be offering two types of discount:
£50 for returning guests (applies to full weeks only).
£25 for guests who will only be using one bedroom (not offered between 14 July and 1 September). You’ll need to let me know on booking – and stipulate which bedroom you’ll be using, double or twin.
The two discounts aren’t mutually exclusive, but in practice, there probably won’t be many cases where both are applicable.

Things to bear in mind

• Guests can arrive any time from 4.00 p.m. On the day of your departure, you’ll need to be ready to leave by 10.00 a.m.
• Prices include bedlinen, hand towels and kitchen/table linen, but not bath or beach towels.
• Unless you’re receiving the one-bedroom discount, you’re welcome to use the sofa-bed in the attic for overnight guests (it has two single foam mattresses), but extra bedlinen will not be provided.
• We welcome up to two friendly dogs on request (non-dangerous breeds only), but please don’t allow them on beds or leave them alone in the house or garden.
• There is no dedicated parking.

Booking

For 2023 lets, you will be asked to pay 25% of the rent as a deposit when you book and the remaining 75%, plus a £100 security/services deposit, six weeks before the beginning of your stay.
In the event of cancellation, the 25% booking deposit will be fully refundable up to six weeks before the beginning of your stay. If you cancel your booking closer to the time of your stay, the amount refunded will depend on the reasons for cancellation.
The £100 security/services deposit will be refunded a month after the end of your stay, less the cost of any losses/damage and services – breakages, phonecall charges (over a first £5 on the house), postage of items left behind, and so on.
